![]() ![]() This was specifically developed to meet Australian requirements. PDsPOST helps you to analyse AERMOD output (all calculation files for post processing). This is not limited to AERMOD type metfiles you can load AUSPLUME type metfiles, TAPM generated data files and data extracted from CALMET runs. PDsWindRoses analyses the metfiles that you used for your modelling. Furthermore, pDsMAP will help you exclude some specific receptors such as receptors inside the site boundary. You can also design a nested grid (high resolution), covering a specific area (e.g. PDsMAP helps you to find UTM coordinates for your sources, discrete receptors/site boundaries, building corners etc. Additionally, my specific exposure to complex issues while running the AUSPLUME helpdesk allowed us to add in some specific enhancements to pDsAUSMOD. This new AERMOD GUI is the culmination of my knowledge of and experience with dispersion models over the last 18 years. PDs Consultancy in Australia anticipated this challenge and developed a very user-friendly graphical user interface (GUI) which follows the same design concepts as AUSPLUME, while providing a powerful and modern interface.Īs someone with long term experience in developing the GUI for AUSPLUME, I took on the challenge of developing pDsAUSMOD, a piece of software suitable for new and veteran modellers alike. The air modellers who once were AUSPLUME users are finding this change challenging. With this change, the existing dispersion model, AUSPLUME, loses its regulatory status. ![]() Uptake has been swift since EPA Victoria adopted it as its regulatory air dispersion model on 1 January 2014. AERMOD, the US EPA’s regulatory air dispersion model, is rapidly growing in popularity in the Australasia region. ![]()
